PART 2: Volunteer Guidelines and Code of Conduct for the Community Foundation Programs
We appreciate your service and we will do our best to ensure that your volunteer experience is rewarding, productive, and safe. We ask for your cooperation in following these guidelines:
-If you are unable to make it to your scheduled shift please let us know via email or phone call. 916-238-8868
Food Bank/Harvest: email@example.com, Farm: firstname.lastname@example.org, HART: info@HARTofOrangevaleFairOaks.org
-Farm or Food Bank: Wear clothes that you can move and work in, you may get dirty during your shift, and wear closed-toed shoes.
-Farm: Wear a hat and bring water to drink.
-Be safe. Use proper techniques when lifting things, using your legs to push upwards. Ask for help if something is too heavy to move alone.
-Flexibility is key, things are fluid and tasks may change each week. We are here to help, please ask if you are unsure of your task.
-Kindness is also key, please be kind and respectful to fellow volunteers, clients, or community members while volunteering.
-You are responsible for your personal items, we suggest locking them in your car. There are lockers to use at the food bank if you would like, you need to provide your own lock.
-Food Bank: Volunteers must be 14 or older at this time.
-Farm or Harvest: Volunteers younger than 14 may serve with an adult chaperone.
